Western Cards - Published

Today's "Western Card"

I'm very excited to share this western card with everyone that was recently published in the Passion Cartes Creatives Magazine, a French Card Magazine!  I created this card with some western papers from my stash.  I had a few of these being cards (friends & life cards) and I decided to arrange a unique layout on the card.  I did some sewing and added some gold ribbon, a horse shoe, a flower, and a brad to finish up the card.  I wanted to add more gold to the card so I punched some holes in the main mat and added three gold brads.  Then I adhered the whole piece of the black card front.  This way the brads don't poke through to the inside of the card.  For the main horse image, I used copic markers to colour in the horse and then layered up the image using some spellbinders oval dies.

I was contacted by MAGAZINE PASSION CARTES CREATIVES.  I was so thrilled that they contacted me because they wanted to feature my western cards in their magazine.  Please check out the pictures below as they sent me five pictures of each of the pages my cards were featured on.  In all 12 of my cards were featured!  So exciting.  Thanks to this magazine for sharing my work!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Well, congrats to you! How exciting to have a card published, and not just one at that!! My daughter would LOVE this card as she is a big horse lover. She helps her Grandma everyday with all the barn chores. Great image and the papers are perfect as is that horseshoe embellishment. Thanks for playing with LTSCB.
