Glittery Santa

Today's "Christmas Cards"

Hey!  I haven't posted a lot of cards this season as it has been so busy, but I wanted to get this one up there!

I love the doodlebug papers this year.  I bought some from this year and even bought last years collections to make a bunch of cards.  So the papers are from doodlebug and I sewed this busy Christmas paper using green thread onto the quieter red background.  I love how this pops.  I then added a smidge of ribbon and then adhered the piece to a green card base.  I love how this looks.

For the image I took this digi image and layered it up with that same green I used as the card base.  I added some pop dots to it to give the card some dimension.  I printed this sentiment out of MS Word and then also backed it with the same green card stock.  I added this to the card and then added the red brad and green flower to the card.  Of course I had to add my "standard" 3 bling to a corner and then to add some shimmer and glitter, I used some stickles to Santa's hat and outfit along the white areas.

I really like how pretty this card is and again love those doodlebug papers!

Today's "DT Post Card"

For my project for this week's DT challenge I have made some awesome gift card holders.  Really they are so much more then that.  They start out like presents and open up to find both a gift card spot/or money or pictures spot, and then also has a stamped message and a spot for the person to write something to the recipient!

Please check out my video tutorial!  They are so much fun to make an you can make any occasion one, not just Christmas!

Hanging Tags - Video Tutorial

Today's "Video Tutorial - Hanging Tags"

Hey everyone!  I thought I would share this tutorial for these hanging gift card tags I made!  I just love this idea.  I needed to find a more "fancy" way to give gift cards.  And this is it!

I started out make a small envelope with my envelope punch board.  Make the evenlope for a 3 X 3 card.  You will need your paper to be 5 1/2 X 5 1/2.  On this board you will put your paper in at 2 3/4 to start the punching.  Remember to not punch the last turn!

After adhering it together you can decorate it how you wish.  I used an image and stickers even.  I also used some floss or even some great metallic-ie twine to create the hanging feature.
I used some dies to die cut the images and the back mats.  Just love how this really looks great.

Lastly I made the little "To & From" tags to hang off the back for ease of seeing who is was for and from!  Love this idea and so much fun to make!

DT - Distressing Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

For this weeks challenge is a distressing!!!!

Hey everyone.  I just love vintage albums and distressing.  I made this wonderful album using a variety of papers from my stash.  I love making little vintage albums like these.  They are so cute and people really enjoy them!

I love all the black and white accents and you can do this as well in brown and cream.  I make a few pockets.  There is an option to close up the inside flap to not be a pocket as well.

The gold elements are awesome.  I used a EK punch to punch along the long pocket to add some nice details!  The butterfly die is from Simon Says Stamp, just love these butterfly dies.  The little black paper clip is from MFT!  Love that set.  Lastly I added 3 bling to the corner to finish it off!  Check out below my video tutorial on how to make the base for this style album!

Birthday Bear + Video Tutorial

Today's "Make a Card 1"

Hey everyone. I made this wonderful bear card.  I just love this card.  I took some papers and adhered the blue strip to the dotted paper.  I added the ribbon with some scotch tape and then adhered the whole piece to the card base.  I had my image all cut out already so I added him up on pop dots to give the card a little dimension.

For the sentiment I used a stamp from Paper Smooches and embossed some white embossing powder.  I love using white on coloured card stocks!  Lastly I added a few bling into the corner.  It is such a simple card, but I love the look!

DT - Sketch Challenge - Owl Card

Today's "DT Post Card"

For this weeks challenge is a sketch!!!!

Hey everyone!  Welcome to this sketch challenge!  I changed up a few things but I really like how this card turned out!

Firstly I used some of this beautiful paper that I had left over in my stash and sewed a similar coloured strip across the card mat.  I wrapped a ribbon with hearts around the matt and then matted it up with some purple paper.  I love how this makes everything pop!  I adhered the whole piece to my black card base.

Now to embellish, I cut out the owl, purple mat, and black scalloped circle mat with spellbinders dies.  I used some pop dots to pop this arrangement up.  I put together a few flowers and a brad that matched the colour of the owl and background paper's colour.  I added this with hot glue.  Lastly I added some bling and a sentiment I made with MS Word to make sure the colours matched!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

DT - Candy Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

For this weeks challenge it is to use candy or make candy wrapping!!!!

I have never been big at wrapping cookies/candy, so I decided to make this sweet card with this adorable girl holding the cupcake.  Hey cupcakes are as good as candy in my books!  Especially if they are chocolate.  I started out with some random red/blue papers.  I photoshopped a previous image I had done and photoshopped the colours to match perfectly.  It took quite a bit of time but I think it turned out great!

I took the image and then die cut it with some spellbinders dies.  Then I started putting the card together.  I layered some of the papers and used a ribbon to add a pop of colours.  Once I had this done I added a flower/brad and some bling.  For the sentiment I photoshopped the sentiment again matching the colours.  Lastly I added some stickles to the cupcake just to make it super sweet!  I love this card and the colours.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Many Pink Owl Card

Today's "Pink Owl Card"

Hey everyone.  I thought I would share this sweet owl card I made.  I wanted to add lots of different pinks to this background I made from some older Bo-Bunny papers.  I love the variety of pinks.

I loved this paper line so much and didn't have much left, but I thought it was enough for one more card.   I took a strip with the flowers on it and sewed it with brown thread to the main card mat and then adhered the whole piece to a pink mat to help pull the pinks out of this card more.  Then I adhered the whole piece to the grey card base.  I think the browns/greys help make the pink pop out from this card.  I added some elements such as bling, stickles, flowers, and a sentiment.  I love this image and I think the stickles help add a bit of sparkle to this card as well as the bling.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
