Winter Tones Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This challenge is for winter tones.  You know that blue is my favourite colour and I just love making blue cards!

I love these papers which are from an older Bo Bunny Winter line.  I took some beautiful papers and then sewed a strip down the middle and then I took a ribbon and wrapped it around the card mat.  Then I attached it to my card base!

I choose a grey card stock to mat the image up and use as the card base.  I love how the grey looks with these papers.  This cute little bear was so wonderful to have as the main part of this card.  I used some stickles to add some glamor to his hat.  I added some bling (which I coloured with copics to make it match the colour of the card).  I also added this big white flower with a brad with hot glue to the card.  Lastly I stamped my sentiment and used a circle punch to finish up the sentiment and add it to the card!  I love the papers on this card.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Custom Work - Gift Card Album

Today's "Custom Work"

Hey everyone!  I love doing custom work.  It is challenging and fun at the same time!  Most clients want specific things/colours/interests in cards.  Check out this wonderful gift card album I created for a special client.

So I created this wonderful base for this gift card album (tutorial coming soon).  I embellished it with various "Lush" cardstock by My Mind's Eye.  (Red paper used is from my stash, just a polka dot paper)  I used some images that I had in my collection and doubled them up with some sentiments and sayings for the card.

I always have a small tab I make for a gift card.  For this card however, I added a little pull out tab with another image and sentiment on it.  A gift card could go here or in the bigger back pocket.

I used some punches and die cuts to add to this album.  Lastly I made some pull outs for both journalling and pictures if she wishes!

I love doing custom work, if this interests you please contact me and I would love to make you something special!  Thanks to Ellen for all her business and I hope both she and her Godfather love this gift card album!

Vintage Travel Album - Music Notes Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

I love the front!  The black and gold accents!  A look just into the first flip of the album.

All three sections open.

I love this picture seeing most of the areas opened.

A closer look.

More details, love the die cuts and the layering with black.  Really adds pop!

The two tags I made!

Hey everyone!  This challenge is a to incorporate music notes!  I just loved making this vintage travel album.  I designed the album based on a tutorial I saw awhile ago.  I didn't care for the tutorial and I altered it so there was more room to layer items in the album.

I used an older paper line by GCD called Paris Nights.  I love these papers, but really you can find papers just like them at most scrapbook stores!  I used many die cuts, parts of patterned papers, and various images throughout this album.  I just love the black elements as well as the black matting to make each item stand out.  I hope you love this album check out my tutorial!

Please follow the tutorial as I embellish the album.  If you are interested in how to create the base of this album, scroll down to the videos I created showing that!

Please follow along with me in my video tutorial of putting this card together!

Part 1:  Building the base of the album.

I hope you enjoy this video and album and check out my other videos here.

Thanks a Bunch Card

Today's "Thanks a bunch Card"

Hey everyone!  Yet another post for the day!  I love this image and I love the pink and yellow together!

So there is many of my scraps I pulled to make this card and I did some punching, layering, and sewing.  I used a very small zig zag stitch and I really like how it looks!  I layered up the various layers sewed it right to the first card mat.  I then took a yellow ribbon and placed it on the card mat.  Then I adhered that piece to the pink card mat.

I took this image and die cut it as well as a pink mat for it to sit on with spellbinders dies.  I added this to the card.  I then found some bling and tucked it under the image.  I found some flowers/brad and added it with hot glue to the image.  Lastly I added this sentiment which I made from MS Word, used a tag punch to punch out a tag, and added a brad to make this tag.  I used some pop dots and added the tag to the card.

Handmade Bow - Copic coloured

Today's "Handmade Bow Card"

Hey everyone!  It is has been awhile since I have done a lot of blogging.  My grandma has been ill at the hospital for awhile now.  I wanted to do a few postings to make up for the time I have been away!

I love this paper.  I took this wonderful pink plaid paper and I sewed some black striped paper to the card base.  I then used some beautiful white ribbon and made a lovely bow.  I then adhered the whole card mat to my pink card base.

To embellish the rest of the card I used this wonderful image and coloured it with copics.  I then die-cut the image using a MFT pierced square stax die.  I then attached the die-cut to the card with some pop dots.  I used the same colours as the pink/grey/white plaid card stock in the background.  I then took a brad and some flowers and then used some hot glue to attach the flowers to the card.  Lastly I added some bling and a stamped sentiment of Happy Birthday to the card.  I just love this card!
