According to my calculations...

Today's "Card"

Hey, I made this card up for a friend for her boys to give their dad. I love this image! I think it is perfect for a dad card. I layered it up using spellbinders. I used some manly "Prima craftsman" paperline. I sewed a strip onto the mat and then adhered it to the kraft card base. I added my image and then this great sentiment that I made up using MS Word. Lastly I added buttons to match the colours in the image.

Pink and Sexy

Today's "Card"

Hey everyone. I made this fun card for a friend for her husband! I took this image and used copics to colour her in. Then I inked the white background a bit with Tim Holtz Pink Ink (Victorian Velvet) just to get rid of that blaring white. Then I layered it up with spellbinders. I found this great embossed love paper and layered it onto some white card stock and then wrapped a ribbon around the mat. I layered that onto the black card base and then added my matted image and then added the flowers/brad, and the funny sentiment.

Vintage Album

Today's "Album"

Hey everyone! I made this album from scratch, I don't like to buy albums...what fun would that be, so I make my own with card stock and chipboard. I love this vintage feel. I used (I believe Basic Grey) papers. I used some spellbinders to layer up some mats. I added some metal (Prima) elements, bling, flowers, and so much more. I even took this old shopping bag and used matching papers to have a matching bag to place the album in. Check out the front and the back. I love this rounded spine:

I love this wooden clock which I painted to make it look more aged.  The spellbinders dies really add some details also to the front.

I love that rounded spine!
Simon Says makes that banner die.  I love their products!

On the left you can see I took two different stickers and adhered them on the page to create a "pocket". Then I added another mat.  This is great to do with stickers!

I love how pretty the papers are.

I used some sentiments to add a "bookie" feel.  I think that albums need more than flowers and I love adding these sentiments.

This is one of my favourites with the greens and yellows together.  I love the diagonal pocket for something different!

I love the bag, it just adds something to the album.  Again matching the papers and creating a secondary item to the album.

Stick it out baby.

Today's "Card"

Well I bet dad didn't expect a card like this, but let me tell you, my friend bought this for her dad for Father's day. I have no clue where I found this image, but I'm still amused by it! I coloured it up with pencil crayons. Then I used spellbinders dies to layer the image. I kept things simple as I choose papers to match my colouring. I tried to keep it quite "male" looking and not "pretty", which is good because with the image of the guy, with his butt sticking out, how could I want to make it pretty!!!! I stitched a strip onto the card mat and then added the image and a sentiment. Lastly I added some black bling for some interest to the card.

Into the woods, or the sand trap, or the drink.

Today's "Card"

Hey, I found these golf stickers and through I would come up with a cute Father's Day card. I like the themes at Simon this week, into the woods, because if you have ever golfed, you know how much time you take in the woods looking for your ball!!! I love how this came together. I used some green card stock and cut it to look like rolling hills. I then inked it up with green. I placed them onto some black cardstock and then die cut some clouds using MFT - Cloud Dies. I added the stickers and then bling. For the inside of the card I placed a die cut on the left side to write a note to the recipient. I die cut a few more clouds and made one more hill. I added the tee's and a Happy Father's Day sentiment and it was done.

Fishing with dad

Today's "Card"

Hey everyone, I made up this wonderful Father's Day card. I love this image with the father and son fishing. It is quite an outdoors'ie card. I kept things simple with this card and layered the image up with spellbinders as a rectangle. I adhered a strip of paper under the image and then adhered that mat to first a black mat to add some depth, and then to the card Kraft base. I added a couple of sentiments, one which I punched out using my 1" punch and then inked each edge. Lastly I added a bit of bling to add some interest to the corners. It was a quick card, but I think it looks good!

Fathers Day Giggle

Today's "Card"

Hey everyone, I love this image I think it is so funny. I made this up for Father's Day. I coloured this image up using copics and then used spellbinders to die cut it. I wrapped some twine around the die cut and then it was ready for the card. For the main card mat, I used some great "Manly" paper and then sewed a strip near to the bottom. I then added the die cut on top using pop dots and then I added letters "DAD" and the button. Quite a simple card, but I love the image and I think the colours go awesome together!

Copic sunshine of love

Today's "Card"

Hey everyone. I made this card up awhile ago but finally just posting it now. I found this wonderful image. I just love this. I coloured it up with just regular pencil crayons for something different! I feel this is a very cheery and springy image. I then die cut the image with spellbinders. I found this great paper to match and sewed it onto the green card mat and then wrapped a yellow ribbon and made a bow with that. I added some flowers/brads and a nice sentiment. I really like how it came together. I would like to try this image with copics in the future, but I still like how everything goes together well.

Babies and lots of flowers.

Today's "Card"

Hey! I love this paper in the background, it is great baby boy paper. I took this sweet image and layered it up using spellbinders. Then I made my card mats and sewed a strip down the card mat. Then I added this baby foot ribbon in between the stitching. I layered that onto some great blue paper and then adhered it all to the black card base. I added the layered image and several flowers, brads, and a few stickers to finish this up.

Father's Day Distress

Today's "Card"

Hey, I just love this image. I inked it and all my edges of all my papers up using "Vintage Photo", because what else would I use! I then wrapped some embroidery thread around it. I took a strip of kraft paper and then just punched out with an EK success punch one edge. I sewed it onto this great brown/blue paper. I added the alphabet letters "happy and day" and then stamped Father's onto some neutral coloured cardstock and then used my corner rounder and just punched on side up. I layered it onto kraft and then again wrapped some embroidery thread around that and made a little bow on the side. I layered this all onto some Kraft paper and then onto the black card base and it was done. I love the blues and browns together!
