Valentine Card - DT Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

I couldn't wait for this challenge as I was excited to share this A2 sized card mini-album!

I love how striking the front is.  I used pinkie/red/black/white papers to create this layout.  I made my own bow and added a bling in the middle of the bow.  I also added some red/white polka dot ribbon on this card from Stampin Up as well.

I created this little envelop pull out.  I again sewed and made the envelope well decorated too as I added this wonderful heart image which I die cut with spellbinders dies.  I made a black tag to pull out and then used some glittery red ribbon to it as the pull!  Lastly I used Amy R's love stamp set and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on the black card stock.  I love it!

For the insideI again did very similar things to the inside as I had for the front.  Layering, sewing, embossing, and adding a few extra elements.  I added a pocket, some bling, a few stickers, and I made a few tags too!

This little pocket to the left could be a place not only for a little tag pull out, but you could put a gift card inside as well for your recipient!

I really loved this project.  It is fun and bright and colourful.  I love how the black really helps make it pop!  The little elements as the tags and pullouts really help to create a fun card/album!

Valentine Card - Ewe are loved!

Today's "Valentine Card"

I love using puns on cards.  It is a good way not only to send a card, but to get someone to have laugh as well!  There are so many stamp sets now on the market FULL OF PUNS!

For this card, I choose some papers from my stash and really all these items were randoms things from my stash.  I sewed down a large middle strip to my card mat and added a thick ribbon.  I adhered this to the card base.  Then I took my adorable sheep image and layered it up with spellbinders.  I printed my own sentiment off of MS Word "Ewe are loved!" and then used a 1" circle punch to punch out this sentiment.  I added a few bling in the corner and lastly I added this large flower/brad to the card with hot glue.

Cat Card - DT Challenge - Anything Goes

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  Sorry for not posting for a few weeks, life has been busy with packing and getting ready to move!  Half of my craft room is in the basement and some is packed!

This challenge is for anything goes.  I love anything goes as you can just play and do things you love!

I used this stamp set from Newton's Nook!  I love these stamps, they are so cute and playful.  I stamped the image and then used my copics to colour in the image.  I then cut out the coloured image and placed it on some circles I did cut with my spellbinders dies.  I love the red and browns together.  I used the "you're the cat's meow" sentiment stamp from that same stamp set and I embossed it with a brown ink.  I love how this brings it all together!

I did some layering and sewing and added a loopy border down the middle to add some interest.  Lastly I added a brown flower and red brad.

I love how this turned out.  I think it is fun to try different colour combinations!  I hope you enjoyed this card!  I will hopefully be posting more soon!
