Embossing Challenge - Copic Coloured

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone! Welcome to another week over a Stamps & Fun - Creativity!  This week is embossing.  Embossing whether dry or through powders add a lot of cards and can be a lot of fun.

I started out with these beautiful papers from my stash.  I did some sewing and then I used these images and copic coloured them.  I coloured them to match the background colours in the card.  I really like how it turned out.  I took the colourless blender to add the highlights to the balloons.

I cut out the images and then edged them with a black memento marker to add some dimension to the pieces.  I added the balloon cords which was super fun!  I added the pieces with pop dots.  I embossed the sentiment with some light blue embossing powder.  I used a corner rounder on the black cardstock and then attached the sentiment with pop dots.  To finish it up, I added a few bling in the corner.

I love how this card turned out.  This would make a perfect little boy birthday card, it is so cute!  I love the balloon strings, the card just came together perfectly for me!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Male Birthday - Video Card Kit A Series - Card 4

Today's "Class Card"

I love making male cards.  They take some figuring out on how to embellish as you don't really want to use flowers!  I love these little tool charms by MFT.  They are so cute!

To start the card I took some of this paper and did some layering.  On the backside of the paper was these little hammers!  Perfect!  I cut a strip out and layered it on the card.  I added a red ribbon to the card mat and then adhered the whole piece to the card mat.  I had this wonderful worker image and cut it MFT pierced square dies and then did it again with the larger blue piece in behind.  I adhere it with pop dots!  So fun.  I made my own sentiment and colour coded it for the colours in the papers.  I cut it out with a flagged end, and did the same with the blue mat in behind again.

Lastly I made this little sweet hammer with silver foiled cardstock and yellow cardstock.  I added it with some thinner pop dots and the card was finished!

Hogs & kisses - Video Card Kit A Series - Card 3

Today's "Class Card"

For this card I found some of this Teresa Collins paper and I ran a sheer ribbon around.  I attached it to the back with some scotch tape.  Then I attached it to the card base and then layered it with this cool dotted paper I had.  I made a banner out of this dotted paper and then attached it to the card mat.  I had this wonderful pig image and then cut it out with spellbinders dies.  I layered it up with some pink paper for a background mat.  I used some dies and made a few coloured hearts to attach right to the image.  I added this large white button to the card with hot glue.  Lastly I made this sentiment on MS Word.  I like how I used the same colours of the card to help bring it all together!

Dots Challenge - DT Card

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone! Welcome to another week over a Stamps & Fun - Creativity!  This week is a dots challenge.  Everyone loves dots and stripes.  They can add so much to a card!

I started out with some blue/red/and white papers.  I did some sewing to add some embellishment.  After I layered a ribbon around the main card mat and then adhered it to the card base.  I think the blue ribbon and the blue card base help pop this card!

I made my own sentiment using, MS Word and made sure I added some blue or red to the sentiment.  I decided to go with red, as there was lots of blue already in this card!  For the image, I took this digi image and cut it out and then inked black around the edges to help it stand out.  I then used some pop dots and adhered it down.  I added a red flower/blue brad to the card with hot glue.  And lastly I added the little wooden heart, which I just love!!!!!  I used some matt medium to adhere it down.  I just love this card.  It could be given to either a man or a girl it is just so cute!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Video Card Kit A Series - Card 2

Today's "Class Card"

For this card kit, I tried to do many cards with many different colours and uses.  I love the use of other colours for wedding cards.  I love the purple and teal and even the lime green adding such differences to this card.

I love this wedding image which I used photoshop to colour purple from the white/black it was.  This paper-line was from an older bo-bunny Christmas line.  I think the colours work well to create a very different coloured wedding/anniversary card.  I love the sentiment die/congratulations.  I used a teal colour to bring the whole card together.

Copic Colouring & Paper Piecing

Today's "Copic Card"

I really enjoyed making this card.  It took FOREVER, but it turned out really nice.  I stamped this LA LA Lands stamp and then coloured her with copic markers.  Copic colouring is tricky and the more you do it, the better the paper you use, the better you will colour.  I wanted to add some colour to her so I used some papers from Kaiser Craft and stamped her again onto some of the papers for her hair band, shirt, shoes, and skirt.

When paper piecing I find it hard to get the shadows right on, but it seemed to work on this image well for me.  I used some W1-W0 copic markers to add some shadows to her shirt, skirt, shoes, and hair band.  I did a bit of sewing on this card and layering.  I added some fibre ribbon around to have something for her to sit on!  I also added a couple of layered flowers/brad to add to pop to this card. Lastly I used this sentiment "Sending you happiness" and then layered it up with a black mat.

This card took several hours to complete.  The paper piecing and colouring of the image took several image but I really like how it turned out!
