Seas the day

Today's "Card"

Hey. I love this inspirational card. It makes a great manly card too with the manly colours. I took this great paper and sewed it onto this rusty brown mat. I then wrapped this ribbon fibre around. I then adhered it "not straight" on the card. I like the look. I then took the boat image and then layered it up with spellbinders. I made this sentiment with MS word and printed it out and then used my circle punch to punch it out. I took this flowers and used this great big brad for the circle. Lastly I added the little gold bling to the card. I love it!

  2. This is so clever! For starters, as an English major, I thoroughly applaud witty sentiments and "Seas the Day" made me smile. I think it's great that you did it in Word! We don't utilize Word enough in the art world, in my opinion, so kudos to you on that! I also adore the way you sewed around the edges! The stitch you used is so unique and I was really impressed by what a great "frame" it makes. The ship image is beautifully vintage with the soft browns and you are right: the whole thing would definitely make a great gift for that deserving man in your life. Your husband's lucky if he gets this card! Thank you for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
