Father's Day Distress

Today's "Card"

Hey, I just love this image. I inked it and all my edges of all my papers up using "Vintage Photo", because what else would I use! I then wrapped some embroidery thread around it. I took a strip of kraft paper and then just punched out with an EK success punch one edge. I sewed it onto this great brown/blue paper. I added the alphabet letters "happy and day" and then stamped Father's onto some neutral coloured cardstock and then used my corner rounder and just punched on side up. I layered it onto kraft and then again wrapped some embroidery thread around that and made a little bow on the side. I layered this all onto some Kraft paper and then onto the black card base and it was done. I love the blues and browns together!

  2. I love the texture of that cardstock - I had to double check what you used, it looks like canvas! One of my favourite clip-art photos for guy cards :)

  5. This is such a nice father's day card. I love the nautical feel of it and how you placed the words - really decorative! I came over from MIM to visit.
