Happy Mother's Day

Today's "Card"

Well so Mother's Day is coming up and how can we not be inspired by our mothers. They have done so much for us! Check out this wonderful card using an older line of Basic Grey papers. I did some strips and layered them and "flagged one edge". I inked them too to make them stand out a bit. Then I layered more basic grey red paper down and sewed that to the card mat too. I added these wonderful flourishes from spellbinders in behind and then placed a mat on top. Then I added this black paper that I used white ink which says "Happy Mother's Day". Lastly I added flowers/brads, and bling and I think it look super.

But that isn't all. Check out the inside. For the left hand side I made a pocket that can be used to add a gift card and another "kraft coloured" mat so I could write something in that spot. For the right side of the inside of the card, I kept the theme of "Flagged stripes" and added another sentiment to the inside. I love that it looks different and the area to write the message is on the left side!
