DT - Favourite Stamp - Copic Colouring

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week it is an "favourite stamp" challenge.  Stamp:  Ruffles Marci.  I just love all of these La La Land Stamps.  This was a fun one to make up.  So I started out with stamping this stamp onto some copic friendly paper and then I die cut it out with some pierced MFT rectangles dies.  I then coloured her hair and skin and her shoes.  For her dress, I took some of this same paper line which I used for the background and stamped both her dress and cute little hair band on.  If you notice this pink paper is also sewn onto the background paper too.

I then fussy cut out the band and dress and then outlined the edges with my memento tuxedo marker to help finish up the edges.  I then adhered down the band and dress and started to use more copics to add some shading on these paper pieces.  I love this look.  I must say this card took several hours to complete as the both the copic colouring and the paper piecing was a great deal of work!

Also I added a ribbon/bow and several flowers/brads to finish this card up.  I didn't put a sentiment on this one so it could be open ended!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Make a card 2 - Video Tutorial

Today's "Make a Card 2"

Hey!  I had a great time making this card.  It took awhile but I love how it turned out!  I started out using a crafter's workshop stencil and used my distress inks to create the background.  I then used the Beautiful Day stamp set from Altenew.  I layered up a flower with stamping each stamp twice.  Once I stamped everything I then took my pencil crayons to add some details on the flower and the leaf.  I find stamps don't always have enough details on them so why not add your own details with pens, pencil crayons, or makers!

I added the background to our card base and then added the vellum on top.  After I added the flower/leaf with pop dots I then snuck some adhesive under the flowers/leaf to adhere the vellum more securely.   I also added some sequins and then I added my own sentiment I made which is available for you to download below!  There are 3 versions, just right click and choose download or save image and add to MS word or another word program and simply resize and print!

DT - Anything Goes Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week it is an "anything goes" challenge.  I love these types of challenges because you can use whatever you may be working on!  For this I took this cute CC Designs image and I used some copics to colour this image.  I just think this image is adorable.  I layered the image up with spellbinders dies and the same purple paper that the card base is made of.  I added this striped stripe diagonally for something different and then layered everything on top.  I cut out from the MFT ribbon die, this beautiful purple ribbon to go down the card.

Once everything was on top I added a sentiment I made from MS word using the colours of the card.  I also added this big purple flower/brad on top to finish it up.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

DT - Blue - Stars - Stitching Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

Welcome to 2017.  Our first challenge for the year is this weeks challenge to include blue - stars - and stitching.  My favourite colour is blue so just love this challenge, plus I love stitching on my cards!  I took some of this older Bo Bunny paper line and sewed the striped paper onto the stars paper.  I then adhered it to the card base.

I used some paper smooches stars dies to cut a few stars and I really like these dies as it adds a layered look.  I added just the silver star to add a little bit of sparkle as well as to add more of a "white" tone to the card to help it balance out.

I took my image and did some copic colouring and then die cut her with some spellbinders dies.  I stamped this sentiment onto some paper.  The stamp is from a Hero Arts stamp set.
