Take no bull!

Today's "Card"

Here is another western male card. I love the sentiment! It is a good laugh and play on words. I took this striped paper and then sewed this woven burgundy paper to it. I wrapped some hemp twine around a few times and made a bow and then adhered it to the card base. Then I took this digi image and cut him out and then adhered him with pop dots. I made this sentiment using MS Word and some fun fonts. I added some bling and the gold star to finish it up!

Today's "Card"

Hey! I love this card. Simon wants "A" is for, well with this card I would saw adorable! Maybe adhesive for the hot glue on the flowers to help layer them up without piercing the paper with the brads. The other Simon says challenge is for a good laugh, and yes this is a good one! So for this card I used some older Valentine paper , did some sewing as I layered up the striped strip onto some black card stock and then sewed it to the mat. I like how that looks. I took this digi image and coloured it with copics and then used some stickler to add some sparkle. I added some flowers/brad, and this funny sentiment to finish up the card!

Blue bird house

Today's "Card"

Hey! I love the techniques in this card. I embossed this white paper with spellbinders embossing folders and then inked over top of the raised surface with a blue ink. I sewed a strip of brown paper and then layered that mat with a brown card stock. I wrapped a ribbon around it and added a bow. I layered it up onto the black card base then. I took this digi image of the house and coloured it up with copics. I made this sentiment on MS Word and made the colour match. Lastly I layered up three flowers (the blue on I had to use copics to get a colour match) and a brad and finished it up! I like it!

Boat inspiration

Today's "Card"

Hey! I love this card. I took this distressed paper and sewed some recollections blue tiled paper to it. I then wrapped a ribbon around it and adhered it to the card. I created the sentiments in MS Word and then printed them off and distressed them. I took this digi image of the boat (which I love!) and then layered it up and added some bling to the corner. I really like this card, it could be a male card or an inspirational card. I love the sentiment too!

Howdy Partner

Today's "Card"

Hey! Here is another western. I love these cards because they always work for a man! I did a complete 2014 collection series and this is one of the cards! I took this great boots/hat image and layered it up with spellbinders. For the background I stitched this western paper onto the burgundy woven paper. I love it! I wrapped this thick twine around and made a bow. If you notice I made two half circles to help hold this twine in place. I added some gears (Cheery Lynn dies) and added my image dies, bling, and the sentiment and I was done!

Oo La La La

Today's "Card"

Hey! I can't wait to share this card with you! I saw a few cards with bras on it on Pinterest and I got to thinking, I can totally make that! So I took some white paper and embossed it. Then I made the shape and then added the flower ribbon to the curves of the bra. I added ribbon for the straps. Isn't it so sweet and cute!!!! For the background paper, this is Bo Bunny's last years line that I love! I wrapped a ribbon around the card mat and adhered it to the card base. I placed the bra onto this lovely pink glittery paper that has also been layered with black card stock. I added the Oo la la sentiment and it was done. I absolutely love it!

Blues

Today's "Album"

My favourite colour is blue. It is probably the reason I had two boys, because I prefer blue!!! I love making baby albums to celebrate a little one. My "new" for this project is the charm closure creation I made. I took some duct tape and some eyelets to create the binding and then a Tim Holtz attachment plus chair and then the all boy charm. Charms are kind of new for me, I don't really use them! I love the ribbon on the spine of this album and I love the mulberry tear bear elephant on the front! There is so much to love about this album, all the different blues coming together in one album. I used lots of papers from my stash to create the pages in this album. I tried to add lots of pockets and flaps to make it interesting. I also didn't over layer it with flowers and other things as you want room for pictures!!!! This is one of my more favourite albums I have made, what do you think!!

Inspired by ice

Today's "Album"

It isn't too hard to get inspired by ice as it has been the coldest winter that I can remember! Check out this mini-album card I made. I used some great non traditional papers and did some sewing. I wrapped a ribbon around and found this great bow and adhered it to the card. I love the pastel soft colours for this card. I added some sentiments, embossing, flowers, brads, leaves, snowflakes, bling, and even a spot to put a gift card in this mini. I also have a pull out for a place for a photo or perhaps a message!

Sweet girl

Today's "Card"

Hey, I love this image of this girl. I have done a few cards with her! I did a lot of sewing on this card. I like the layout with the squares in behind. It adds some extra layering and interet. I sewed those down and then I sewed the yellow mat to the blue one and then wrapped a blue ribbon around the whole mat. Then I adhered the whole piece to the red card base. I added some flowers/brad and some bling to the ribbon. For the image, I layered her up with spellbinders with a few mats to add some depth. Lastly I added 3 little blue bling to that mat and it was finished!

New baby

Today's "Card"

Hey, I love this sweet little baby card I made up. I sewed a strip and then adhered it to the yellow card base and then to the white card front. I layered up this adorable image and then die cut some clouds with MFT's cloud dies. I made up this sentiment with MS Word and then added this little metal rattle to finish it up. It was a quick card but a cute one!
