DT Post - Anything Goes

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey!  This is our last week before we take our summer break, so I hope you will join us for this week's challenge, Anything Goes!

I love this card!  I took a flourish stencil and distressed some orange and pink distress ink.  I then cut that piece down and layered it up onto some pink card stock.  I then wrapped some orange ribbon around and made a bow.  I love this ribbon it is so pretty!  I then adhered the whole piece to my white card base.  I added some white dash lines to the right side of the pink cardstock to add a little something.

I die cut this tag from a SSS tag die set.  I love this set!  I used that same pink cardstock for this tag as well as some orange.  I then stamped a flower stamp over the tag and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I love how it pops!  I also stamped the "thank you so much" as well and embossed that too.

I added some orange, white, and pink embroidery thread to the top part of the tag.  I added the tag piece with pop dots and I really love how that looks.  I lastly added some bling to the top right corner to finish up this card!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

DT Post - Sketch

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week our challenge is to follow this sketch. I have to admit sketches are not my favourite challenge as I like to just go with the flow, but what is great about sketches is it gives you many ideas on how to lay your papers and elements.  On my pinterest page I have many folders for card sketches and these give me many ideas on future cards!

I layered up the wedding image with a grey card stock.  Then I took these pink papers and layered them up.  I just love the accents of grey!  I made a few different patterned paper layers (dots and stripes) and layering them up each with a grey mat in behind.  I love how this makes the pattern papers stick out.  I die cut some of that grey cardstock with an oval die and then added some brads to follow the sketch.  I also added a flagged end piece coming from behind one of the mats.

I love the use of the stripes and then the big dots.  I love also the use of the ribbon instead of more paper.  In the end, I really like how the card turned out.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!
