Make a card 10 - Video Tutorial

Today's "Make a Card 10"

Hey everyone.   This card is part 2 of an original idea and I had to make 2 cards.  Card 1 is here.

I just love owls and I used photoshop to change the colour of this owl to match the card better.  I then took my background paper and placed it first.  I then layered up the papers onto my foam and added the ribbon.  Then I adhered the play foam on top of my background paper.  I love this look as it is slightly raised and then to add more dimension I added the owl image up on another piece of foam.  I added the embossed sentiment, bling, and flower/brad to finish up the card!

This was a fun card to make!  Check out this video tutorial!

DT Post - Inspired by a song

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week our theme is "inspired by a song".

I made this card for my Father in law's friend who is "forever young".  He is so active for being 90! He still lives independently and has many friends he spends time with.   He loves classic cars and the vintage look so this is the card I made up!

I really love the Tim Holtz papers on this card with a mix of other vintage papers.  I took this digi image photoshopped it to be a more "vintage" look and printed it off.  I then layered it up first with black and then with kraft.  I layered up the card mats too this way first with black and then with kraft.  I added the image with foam and then I made this sentiment with MS word and layered it up as well.  I lastly added a few sequins to add some more interest and the card was done.  My Father in law said he loved it!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

Make a card 9 - Video Tutorial

Today's "Make a Card 9"

Hey everyone.  I made this card after having the idea for this layout in my head after not sleeping one night!  I half die cut a circle and created a piece to add dimension to this card.  I picked out some great papers for this grad card and started to layer things up.

First I added the black/white checkered piece down.  Then I adhered the foam piece down.  I layered some gold papers and this beautiful dotted paper onto the raised area.  I embossed a little gold onto the image before I added the image on another piece of foam.  I loved the dimension this added.

I lastly added the sentiment onto foam and a little gold bow to finish up this card.  I just love this layout and the dimension!

This was a fun card to make!  Check out this video tutorial!

Make a card 8 - Video Tutorial

Today's "Make a Card 8"

Hey everyone.  I made this shaker card out of some Jelli-bean goodies!  I love making these shaker cards.  Jelli-bean makes it really easy!

I love the papers from an older Bo-Bunny line.  I layered on the front this fish paper and then cut out the jar shape from this pre-cut card base.  I added some details on the front including a strip, a sentiment, and a frame around the edge of the card.  To make the shaker I added some sequins using the same colours from that strip of paper.  I then added some fish that I coloured with copic markers and an inside piece to cover the plastic part of the shaker window.

This was a fun card to make!  Check out this video tutorial!

DT Post - Vintage - Mini Card Album

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week our theme is "vintage".

I enjoy making these little mini-card-albums.  I love this paper line, it is a long ago retired Basic Grey line.  I used red, black, brown, and a smidgen of green colours while still keeping a vintage feel.  I made my base and then started embellishing it with various parts of the paper line.  I did lots of sewing and added some die cuts.  I love using a black card base so I can use die cut accents in black.  I think this looks great!

I also used a little envelope as a pocket and added a tag as a pull out.  I finished up the front with this beautiful butterfly embellishment.  I just love that!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!
