DT: Anything Goes Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey there, welcome to this week's challenge of  Anything Goes.  I have been on a big Vintage Card kick.  For this week's card, I have made this wonderful vintage Paris card.

I started out by taking some stripes of paper and sewed them together.  I then sewed the whole piece then up onto some Kraft card-stock.  I adhered that portion to a 110 lb black card base.  I then added the image up onto some foam.  I added the flower/bling as an accent as well.

Lastly I made this sentiment using Elements, and I added it with scor-tape.  I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!

DT: Blue & Silver Gift Card

    Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey there, welcome to this week's challenge of using blue and silver.  I have made a few of these gift card holders and wanted to share this one.   Please see the tutorial video below!

This gift card can be given as a Christmas Gift Card or even a winter birthday card.  If you don't put any sentiments on it, it can be open to be given for what you need.  I love making my own bows.  For this gift card I made this silver bow.  I think it looked good as an embellishment on this card.

I love stamping nice greetings with two colours inside.  I think it adds a lot to the card!

    DT: Sketch time!

    Today's "DT Post Card"

For this challenge you have to use the above sketch.

Hey there, welcome to this week's challenge of using a sketch!  I love this card.  There are a lot of layering going on.  I like sketches as a starting point and then you can change some things up so that your card or project doesn't look like everyone else!

I took some teal colours and then sewed a bingo card I had from a 12 X 12 paper.  I then took a very similar coloured ribbon and added it to the card mat.  I then layered an image and sentiment on.  I added some flowers and bling adds a little sparkle as well.  I really love the colours with brown and teal together!  Plus the image is very cute.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

DT Post: Gifts & Non Cute

    Today's "DT Post Card"

Firstly here is my card from the last challenge (non-cute).  I missed this as I was away on holidays and there was so much going on I never posted.  I love this card.  I love the Tim Holtz clock gears and the wonderful fibres to add texture to this card.

    Now for this week's challenge!

For this week's challenge you we are showing "little gifts".

I made up these cute little envelopes.  I made the envelope with my scoring board and then covered it with scrapbooking 12 X 12 papers.  My intent was to include pictures and a gift card in here as a present!  To decorate the edge of the envelope, I used a Martha Stewart Punch.  I added a beautiful purple ribbon/bow around the middle strip and to add more purple I added the flower as well on the top.  I wanted to add some glimmer and I added some stickles on the polar bear's scarfs on the paper.

I will make a few more of these maybe with some different papers.  I like that I can add a gift among this envelope which is a little gift in itself.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

    DT Post - Handmade Flowers

    Today's "DT Post Card"

This week our challenge is to add a handmade flower!  I have an upcoming video on how to make some handmade flowers in the future.  I wanted to get it ready for the week but life has been busy with my son's service dog.  She was injured so I didn't get a chance to get the video done.

However, for this card I love these papers.  I made this flower out of mulberry paper and used a die to cut the flower.  I really love mulberry paper.  Like I mentioned I have a technique to make your own handmade paper and flowers coming up so check back!

I really love the red and blues in this card.  I used some lace down the card to add more white onto the card.  I added some blue bling and this wonderful heart brad as well to add more of the blue and reds.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

DT Post - Add a bow

    Today's "DT Post Card"

This week our challenge is to add a bow!  I love making bows for cards.  They are a little bulky for "mailed" cards but great otherwise!

My son has a dog much like the image on this card.  I just love these papers together and the bow really adds a lot to the card.  Then I adhered the whole piece to the black card base.

I took some of this older bo bunny paper and sewed the yellow strip down the mat.  I really love how this pops.  I added the bow and attached it to the card mat.

I layered up the image onto a black mat to help it stand out and added with with pop dots.  Lastly I added the blue bling to continue the blue colours on the card.  I left a sentiment off so I can use this card for really any occasion!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!

    DT Post - Anything Goes

    Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey!  This is our last week before we take our summer break, so I hope you will join us for this week's challenge, Anything Goes!

I love this card!  I took a flourish stencil and distressed some orange and pink distress ink.  I then cut that piece down and layered it up onto some pink card stock.  I then wrapped some orange ribbon around and made a bow.  I love this ribbon it is so pretty!  I then adhered the whole piece to my white card base.  I added some white dash lines to the right side of the pink cardstock to add a little something.

I die cut this tag from a SSS tag die set.  I love this set!  I used that same pink cardstock for this tag as well as some orange.  I then stamped a flower stamp over the tag and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I love how it pops!  I also stamped the "thank you so much" as well and embossed that too.

I added some orange, white, and pink embroidery thread to the top part of the tag.  I added the tag piece with pop dots and I really love how that looks.  I lastly added some bling to the top right corner to finish up this card!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!
