Distressing and for the girls

Today's "Card"

I made this card with this could image from Darcy's diaries. I want to say, a girls card does NOT have to be pink and purple!!! (Coming from someone who has 2 boys!) Anyways, I matted some Simple stories Documented paper onto some kraft cardstock and then sewed on an extra mat. I made the "stitched with love" sentiment using MS word and then punched it out using a spellbinders label punch. I then inked it up with vintage photo ink. I inked all the edges and parts of the "girl" image with this ink too, to make it all go together. Lastly, I added the Jolee's fleur-de-lis. That's all that was to this one, but I like the distressing look and the papers.

Boo!

Today's "Card"

Hey everyone. Well I didn't do so well taking pictures this week as it has been quite grey out, but today was a little sunnier...I guess fall is here.

So, for the card today I made this adorable card using this awesome image from Dearie Dolls. I love this site, lots of coloured and uncoloured images!!! I cut him out with my spellbinders and matted him up. I then used some Gelly Roll marker on him to add some shine here and there. I used some wonderful American Crafts orange ribbon and made a bow. I added the skeleton to this to add some pop. I had the "Boo" from the same package (can't remember what product it is) and added it to the mat. Then i layered a few mats in behind and put the guy up on pop dots. I added a flower/button and it was done!

Boy chipboard

Today's "Album"

Hey! I made this chipboard album. It is really cute! It sure took a lot of adhesive though. I shaped my chipboard pieces and then set up my mats for this album. I sewed some mats onto the main papers and then adhered it to the chipboard. I made sure the paper came right to the end of the chipboard edges to keep a clean look. After the papers were attached, I added some embellishments such as stickers and buttons. Very little went into this album, but how cute it turned out!

Mojo - Bingo - Anything

Today's "Card"

Well tonight I put together a card for Mojo Monday. I always find sketches hard because I want to add or take away from the sketch!!! At any rate, I stamped this sentiment from Just Rite stamps onto some white cardstock and then used a spellbinders die to but it out. I used more of the K & Co sweet nectar paper line and sewed the square onto the spellbinders flour lis squares. I added some pink gems/bling onto the 4 corners. I layered the papers like the Mojo design and sewed the green piece to the mats. I adhered it to the main card front and then added a really nice flower and a leaf. I inked the edges with shabby shutters just t add some interest.

Simple autumn

Today's "Card"

Hey, I made this autumn'y card. I like how simple it was to make. I used some leaves paper and then put some velvet black embellishment down the side of the card. I really like how that looks. I added a digi of this scarecrow and matted it up with spellbinders. I then added some golden bling, a brad, and some flowers to finish this up. It is funny how sometimes we talk forever to do a card...it is nice every once in awhile to just do a simple one!

This card won at Totally Stampalicious!!

Happy 1st bear-day

Today's "Card"

I love this card! I used paper from My Minds Eye - Bluebell 6X6 paper pack. I love this pack! I layered the papers and then added some black for the bottom and used the Martha Stewart punch to add some pazzzazz! I have this digi of this bear and used watercolor pencils to add some light brown/grey color to this little guy! I used spellbinders to mat him up and used pop dots to add some lift. For the sentiment, I made this up in MS word and printed it out. Then I used the new spellbinders fancy tags from their 2012 release to cut this out. It was quite a simple and quick card, but it is oh so sweet!

Gymnast card.

Today's "Card"

Hi everyone. I want to give a shout out to some new followers who have joined my blog. I also want to thank everyone for their sweet comments, I really appreciate them!!!

For this card, I used another Patti image that I won from entering a previous challenge over at Patti's Creations. I used to be a competitive gymnast for many years, so when I saw this image...I had to have it! For this card I used the K & Co Sweet Nectar paper line. I layered a few pieces and then used some oval spellbinders dies. I used copics to color in our Patti image. I then added some glittery stickler for her gym suit and matching pony tail elastic. I used pop dots to help her "pop" out. But I couldn't stop there with the stickles and added some pink stickler to the polka-dots on the pink paper! I made my own sentiment and printed it off, then used a Paper Shapers, whale of a punch tag punch to punch out the sentiment. I inked it with Shabby Shutters and then pop dotted it. Lastly I put some black bling to add some interest and this one was done! I love it!
