I just love making these types of sewn vintage cards like these.  Imagine all the scraps of paper you have in your craft room and how easy it is to make a beautiful background for a card.  Whether you sew it or not, scraps will make a beautiful background.

I also love using 12 X12 papers and look for elements to cut out like this clock.  There are so many ways to make embellishments
