DT- Animals Card Challenge

Today's "DT Post Card"

Hey everyone!  This week it is to have an animal themed project.

It has been awhile since I posted a western card and I thought I would do so for this Animal Challenge.  I love using this horse image.  It is really beautiful!  I took some orangie-brown papers and first distressed the edges with vintage photo ink and then sewed a flagged element onto this striped paper.  I love how this looks.  I then took some of this wonderful gold twine and wrapped it around the card mat and added a bow.  I made some small notches for the twine to sit into at the bottom and top of the card mat.  I just love this!

Next I adhere the whole piece to my black card base.  I then added my image that was layered up with spellbinders dies.  I had a few of these gold lock elements and I decided to have one off of the corner of the circled image.  I of course added some gold bling to the image to add a tad more gold!  I just love gold and brown together.  I lastly made up this Happy Birthday label type sentiment and added it to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Please check out the other DT members' projects!  Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!
