Today's "DT Post Card"
I have to say, I have never been a fan of shaped cards, but I really had fun with this week's challenge. I made a A2 card base and then used my labels spellbinders die to create the base. I decided to use the next size down label die to cut out this yellow cardstock. After that I used some papers from the same paper collection to cut the strip that went through the middle and the orange strip down the card. I love this and it matches the shape perfectly because I used the die to cut the strips!
I got my image prepared and then cut it with a spellbinders circle die and then found a green that was similar to the apple leaf. I cut that with an scalloped circle die to make a great layer. I popped the whole piece up with pop dots to give some dimension off the card. I next took more of the matching paper and stamped the sentiment (From Amy R's stamp (CC Designs) set now retired). I put the sentiment up on pop dots as well to match the image height. Lastly I had to add some sequins. I used a mixture of sequins from my stash. I placed them in a triangle from on the bottom right portion and then added two more to keep the odd numbers to the top left. That finished up the card. I really like this card. It was truly a simple and fun card to make!
I hope you enjoyed this project! Please check out the other DT members' projects! Thanks so much for joining me for this Challenge over at Stamps & fun = Creativity!
