Assisted Living Christmas Cards for 2025

"Christmas Cards made for Assisted Living - 2025"

I started making cards for an Assisted Living Facility near me.  I donated about 500 cards to them during 2024 and about 450 this year.  Here is some of one of the batches I made this year.

Here are a few of the finished cards.  I made so many cards with different colours.

The process of making 165 cards:

I always start out by making the card bases in advance.  Then the next step is to pick out the layered background colour and the golden card mat to layer with.  I also used my cricut to cut the ornaments.  I cut the base of the ornament, the top of the ornament, as well as the foam piece to add some dimension to the card.

Once this is done, I adhere the golden patterned paper onto the foiled background paper and put together the entire ornament.

Now I will adhere the green/golden card mat straight to the black card base.

The next step is to create the golden snowflakes and cut 165 of them on my cricut.  Each ornament is a different size so I had to cut various sizes to fit properly.  Once they are all cut, it is process of using wet glue (Tombow mono liquid glue) that first dries and then adhere it to the ornament.  By using this glue, you don't get a mess because it is still sticky after it dries.

Lastly I created a special inside message using the print and cut method using my cricut.  I used the same types of ornament shapes but inserted the message inside.

It was a long process to do 165 cards but I enjoyed doing them in batches.  I love the gold papers I used (a paper pad from Michaels) and the lovely foiled cardstock.  I really liked the many different colours trying to escape from only green and red.  I hope you enjoyed seeing this process!

Dogs With Wings Donation

"Card Donation to Dogs With Wings"

I was asked to make up some sympathy cards for the Service Dogs who have passed away.   DWW is the charity who has given our family three dogs over the years to support my sons.  They mostly have labrador or retrievers.  I made up a few cards for them using these breeds.  Here are some close ups and a picture of all the cards that I donated!

Assisted Living Christmas Cards

"Christmas cards made for Assisted Living"

I donated about 500 cards to them this year and they hired me to make 165 Christmas Cards from them to their residents.

I started in July by making all the bases and starting to figure out which papers I wanted to use and what I needed to buy.

I found images that I really liked and papers that matched and used my sewing technique on many of the cards.  Here are some of my favourites:

Covid Donation

 "Card Donation during covid"

Hey everyone.  I should have taken more pictures but after looking back, this is all I took!  I completed 300 cards to a senior's home here that lost over 100 people during the first few months of covid.  Each resident and staff member was made cards.  I also donated 180 cards to a local hospital for their staff and nurses.

I enjoyed making the cards and look to donate a lot more cards!  I hope this inspires you to donate cards.

300 Card Donation to Children's Hospital

"300 Card Donation to Children's Hospital"

Hey everyone.  I hope that everyone is doing great.  I have been busy making a ton of cards with various Doodlebug collections.  I love Doodlebug, they always make such cute collections.  I made 300 cards and donated them to our Children's Hospital.

I used the At The Zoo and Fairy Garden collections by Doodlebug.

I used many different layouts.  I used some Love from Lizi peel offs on some of the fairy cards.
I placed a joke inside each card as well.  I hope these cards bring a little sunshine to everyone who gets one!

I wanted to share a sample of the cards I made so I took this picture after the cards were packaged up.  Due to covid, I had to place each card in a self sealing bag so it can be sanitized.

I enjoyed making these cards so much!  I do think that I need a break from the fairy collection though!!!  🤣  (I also made 150 Fairy cards for another charity!)

Hey everyone.  I hope everyone is keeping safe.  Here is my latest video showing some cards I made for a long term care facility!  I also show an album in the works that I'm making for the hospital that cared for my in-laws.  Enjoy!
