Hey everyone, what a busy week. I managed to do a quick little project for this weeks Grungy 16 over at Linda’s fabulous blog as well as a Simon Says Stamp. I kept on sewing this week! I had this beautiful small picture of my grandma and wanted to do something special with it, so I added the dictionary phrase “grace” as my grandma truly defines grace and put this together. I did the Tim Holtz technique also where you poke holes. I did it around the first mat, and that was kinda neat! The stars are grunge board and they have been inked. I added some greenery and some ribbon and wa-la! It isn’t as fancy as other projects, but it was what I had time to do this week!

Beautiful project! Love the pretty photo and flowers against the strong blue.
I really like this, I think it is a beautiful way to showcase your grandmother… very classic and beautiful. You did a beautiful job.
Kelly, this is beautiful and whimsical and just perfect! I love the sweet look you created, and the stitching is awesome! What a lovely way to pay homage to your grandmother. I think it’s just right on the “fancy-o-meter!”
